Sustainable tourism development in Oltrepo Pavese
An experimental bike sharing project in the spa town was activated in the Oltre Padana spa town, with devices supplied to important In-Presa partners such as the well-known integrated information systems company for mobility Pluservice, in addition to local partners. The service is part of an experimental project that is part of the LiMIT4WeDA (Light Mobility and Information Technologies FOR Weak Demand Areas), within the MED 2007 Program of which the Province of Pavia is not a participant. The project was inaugurated on Saturday 12 January at 10.30 at the Municipality of Rivanazzano.
The aim of the project is to increase, support and integrate local public transport, stimulating the interested parties, public and private, to consider the problem of sustainable mobility, both from an economic and environmental point of view, in areas with low transport demand.
The Province of Pavia has thus identified a pilot project in Rivanazzano Terme which is based on the use of new technologies, infomobility and bike sharing, a light mobility system. The realization of the project involves the installation of a design shelter in the Rivanazzano Terme area, equipped with an Evo Bike mechanical rack and recharging for pedal assisted bikes, in addition to the presence of information monitors with news and information on routes, tourism and mobility.
